Our Guiding Principles

1. invest our resources in water harvesting programmes by construction of large water pans that would store enough water to last the community until the next rainy season.
2. It is normally situated in a slightly lower ground level than the surrounding areas or near a seasonal water springs. The storage capacity for such pans would vary according to the needs and the number of people using this water. Our pans are usually made to store 3 to 4 million liters of water which could serve a village community of 2 to 5 thousand people. These water pans are relatively simple to construct and there is very little maintenance required.
3. With sufficient water they can develop domestic agriculture and cattle rearing activities as well. From the few water pans that we have commissioned, we find that the villages where they were constructed starts developing at a faster rate. New shops and houses start emerging. The cattle population too increases. The performances and attendance at school improves dramatically. The whole scenario changes in no time from a small sleepy village to a very active and a busy village with many modern facilities and services.
